Speech therapy is designed to help patients improve their ability to communicate and/or swallowing difficulty. Speech and language disorders can be from recovering from debilitating conditions such as stroke, brain injury or other neurological conditions.
This is a typical speech treatment. The resident is on a puree diet but is having a trial with more solid foods. The therapist will assess safety and swallowing and provide strategies for safe swallowing with an upgraded diet. Visit us online at www.mvrnc.org
