Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehab Center’s short-term rehab services are set apart from others by the individualized and attentive care provided by our staff.  We are pleased to offer onsite Physician services, around the clock nursing, physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Rehab Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is designed to improve mobility and quality of life.  The first step begins with an evaluation.  Goals are set based on the individual’s desired outcomes.  A Physical Therapy program may include transfer training, gait training, lower extremity exercises, balance activities, and/or cardiac rehabilitation.  Our goal is to achieve the resident’s highest functional level contact us (570) 386-5522.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy provides our residents with the
opportunity to be assisted with activities of daily living.
During Occupational Therapy deficits are addressed, and goals are set based on the residents personalized plan of care.
Interventions provided may include self-care and home management, functional mobility, strengthening and energy conservation, neuromuscular re-education and instruction in the use of adaptive strategies and/or equipment contact us (570) 386-5522.

Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy is available to residents experiencing difficulty swallowing, communicating, understanding or maintaining safety in their daily living.  A plan of care is individualized based on results of an evaluation.  Therapy may center on safe swallowing strategies, appropriate diet/liquid consistencies, oral motor exercises, word finding skills, auditory comprehension skills and cognitive linguistic tasks.  We strive to ensure that strategies are in place through resident, staff and caregiver education in order to maximize skills during activities of everyday life contact us (570) 386-5522.
